American Olean is all about tile. Currently the product brand of Dal-Tile Corporation, American Olean was originally formed in 1948 through a merger between American Encaustic Tile Co., Ltd. and Olean Tile Co. The company was acquired a couple of times before landing with Dallas-based Dal-Tile. From its current online catalogue, American Olean lists over 70 product series that can be applied to residential and commercial floor and wall applications. Further, the company states all its products meet the new and stricter health and use requirements for tile.
American Olean also thinks green. Many of their products contain recycled materials to work toward LEED® credits. In addition, the innovative tile technology in their patent-pending OutStand Technology™ is designed to enhance the durability and lasting capacity by protecting against stain- and odor-causing bacteria. American Olean also delivers state-of-the-art imaging to deliver the most realistic and natural-looking porcelain tiles on the market today, offering “unmatched color definition” and “minimal pattern repetition”. American Olean also allows the peak in customization, from uniquely designed whole tile surface areas to borders, patterns, and hand-painted murals.
